All eyes were on Greece last week as the 27th Blue Cup Regatta, the annual passage yacht race, took place in the Argosaronic Gulf. Dream Yacht Charter has been running the regatta since 2011.
The event began on October 28th with around 50 yachts from our fleet and their international crews competing over nine days within three award categories. The racing and lively after-parties are held among some of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful scenery.
Well done to Class A winner Leurydice Dufour 410, skippered by Marit Veholmen, Class B winner Sadko Dufour 450 GL, skippered by Oeystein Svendsen, and Class C and overall winner Semiramis Oceanis 45, skippered by Arne Martin Gilberg.
Greece is one of our favorite cruising grounds with its individual island groups, from the Cyclades, Ionian Islands, Sporades and Dodecanese. Among them you’ll find UNESCO heritage, forested islands with castles, mountainous landscapes and miles and miles of sandy beaches.
If we’ve got you dreaming of sun-dappled olive groves, delicious food, iconic white stone buildings and an island-hopping adventure, then talk to our team about our bareboat charters.
Tempted to watch the racing? Next year’s regatta will be held between October 27th to November 4th 2018. Or you can find out when our next events are.
