Itinerary

From Abaco - Bahamas to Marsh Harbour, Conch Inn Marina, Abaco Islands - Bahamas

Day 1 - saturday: marsh harbour

Boarding at 18:00. Dinner and over night onboard in Conch Inn & Marina.

Day 2 - sunday: marsh harbour – great guana cay

We will gently cruise toward Great Guana Cay where we will drop anchor off a lovely cay in Fishers Bay. Great Guana is the home of the world famous Nippers Bar with its equally famous Sunday hog roast as well as Grabbers Bar and Grill. Set with a back drop of a beautiful Atlantic long white beach, Great Guana Cay is perfect for taking long walks and those iconic white sand beach shots that grace the pages of glossy travel magazines. Beach combing, snorkelling, diving (with extra charge) or just walking along the beach – there is something for everyone.

Day 3 - monday: great guana cay – man .o. war

After lunch we will set off to Man .O. War which is a sleepy, but prosperous and beautifully maintained settlement. Visit the sail shop to purchase souvenirs, t-shirts and Man .O. War Sail bags. Then, see the famous Albury family’s Bahamian work boats and boat building facility, which continues to manufacture both small and larger vessels in the town. Snorkeling can be found on the north ocean side of the island, a short 15-minute walk away.

Day 4 – tuesday: man .o. war – hope town

Cruise to Elbow Cay where you’ll be greeted by the well-photographed red and white striped lighthouse – one of only three kerosene lighted, manned lighthouses remaining in the world. Stroll the quaint cobblestone streets where you can find restaurants, markets, boutiques and the local dive shop. Visit the small museum and then eat at one of the many restaurants surrounding the harbor. Or choose to rent a golf cart to explore the island.

Day 5 – wednesday: hope town to little harbour – on the way stop to sandy cay national park – little harbour south of abaco

Because we use shallow draft catamarans you are able to step off the boat and wade through crystal blue waters onto Sandy Cay National Park where you can have lunch and enjoy snorkeling. The crystal-clear waters are shallow and the sand is very soft – is there a better way to get to such a beautiful beach and snorkel site? After lunch, we sail up to Little Harbour, which is one of the most picturesque harbours in the Bahamas. Go ashore at Little Harbour to enjoy a visit to Pete’s Pub & Gallery, the famous beach bar and art gallery.

Day 6 – thursday: south of abaco – tahiti beach

Get up early so we can sail down to Tahiti Beach South of Abaco to find our own secluded island. Spend the day lying on the beach or snorkelling the reefs with its abundance of sea. There is nothing like having an island all to yourself. Spend your early evening drinking cocktails whilst watching the sunset.

Day 7 - friday: tahiti beach – matt lowes cay – marsh harbour

A delicious breakfast and we head back toward Marsh Harbour stopping at Matt Lowes Cay. We enjoy swimming in the Sea of Abaco before heading back to our marina for dinner and then perhaps celebrating our fantastic week with the local people whilst listening to local bands nearby.

Day 8 - saturday: disembarkation at 10:00

After breakfast, we swap emails and photos and we send you home with great memories and anticipation for your next sailing vacation with Dream yacht Charter and our By the Cabin Vacations team.

What is included?

Meals and drinks: Meals are always full board and served morning, midday and evening, although times may vary according to itinerary and arrival time at anchorage. The drinks package can vary depending on destination. Information is available on the website and detailed in every quote provided
Drinks: Water, tea and coffee are included at every meal time. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, including table wine and local aperitifs (punch, rum and fruit juice) may be included as part of your charter, depending on location. Otherwise, drinks can be paid for in cash on board. Information is available on the website and detailed in every quote provided.
Snacks: In the afternoon, tea and cake/biscuits are served
Linen: Two sets of linen, towels and beach towels per cabin per week are provided.
Water sports: You will have access to snorkeling equipment, a sea kayak and paddleboards
Cleaning: The public areas are cleaned by the crew while on charter, but not the private cabins
Air-conditioning: The cabins have air conditioning between 8am and 10pm each day. They are turned off at night to avoid noise disturbance. The cabins stay cool, hatches can be opened and there are small fans in the cabin

Are there child or age restrictions?

Minimum Age : 6 years.

Can I choose which cabin I want when I book?

You can request your preferred cabin. While we cannot guarantee your preference, we will do our best on a first-come, first-served basis.

What happens if the weather changes?

The captain may decide to change the itinerary if there is bad weather.

How flexible is the itinerary for an all-inclusive by the cabin cruise/charter?

Our yacht itineraries are designed by our destination experts and are set to showcase the best of the destination’s highlights. They are set and not flexible, even if you book all the cabins.

What is the cancellation policy?

We highly recommend you arrange travel insurance in case you need to cancel for an unexpected reason to cover non-refundable deposits. Our by the cabin Cancellation fees are:

More than 90 days before original embarkation date: 25% of the charter fee
89 – 60 days before original embarkation date: 50% of the charter fee
59 – 30 days before original embarkation date: 75% of the charter fee
Fewer than 29 days before original embarkation date: 100% of the charter fee
