CLIMATE
In the French Mediterranean the climate is extremely favorable, especially in the Var and Toulon region with more than 2800 hours of sun per year on average (over 300 days) therefore you can expect to enjoy long, hot summers with warm nights.
In the summer the temperature climbs up to 25° C and late spring (May) and early autumn (October) are particularly enjoyable months with an average temperature of approximately 20° C and even in winter temperatures can be mild.
WINDS
The Mediterranean can be divided in two large zones.
1) West of Toulon
Winds from the Northwest dominate throughout the year. The “Tramontane“ blows from the Pyrenees to Sète and “the Mistral” blows down from Vallée du Rhône and may even reach as far as Corsica and Sardinia. Although rarely are these winds strong during the summer, a season with a South/South-East breeze from the sea. This kind of wind rarely exceeds 15 to 20 knots. The Mistral is responsible for the exceptionally sunny conditions in the region, parts of which have the largest number of sunny days in France.
2) East of Toulon
The impact of the Mistral is very moderate. In the summer the dominating wind is a South/ South-East breeze from the sea that rises around noontime and calms down in the evening rarely more than 15 knots. Interestingly, the Mistral brings with it a purity of light where distant hills, almost invisible at other times can be seen in startling detail.

SEA AND TIDES
From June to September the temperature circulates between 20° to 25° C and the weather is glorious.
A strong swell from the South/South-West to Southeast appears in the West of Toulon and is considerably weaker in the East of Toulon. Water temperatures are in the 70’s to low 80’s in the summer, perfect for water sports of all kinds. Tides are less than 30 cm.

Destination and Itineraries

Under a fine tropical climate , the beaches are palm fringed, with pristine white sand, crystal waters and superb coral reefs.
Add to that the renowned friendliness of the Thai People, their magnificent cuisine and culture, and Thailand has deservedly become Asia’s premier cruising destination. Air temperatures varies from 25° to 32° ( sea temperature : 28° ).
You can enjoy comfortable cruising all year round because there are no typhoons and even the seasonal monsoons are gentle.

The whole fleet consists in brand-new yachts, all of them delivered in 2007.
For the monohulls, you can select one of the latest models of the Boat Industry System shipyard (Groupe Poncin) – the Harmony 31, Harmony 34, Harmony 38, Harmony 42, Harmony 47 et Harmony 52 - with excellent sailing qualities and a very attractive design.
For the catamaran, try the Lavezzi 40 and the catana 41 OC.

Our base situated in Port-Pin-Rolland is the ideal starting point to sail eastwards in one-day towards the Golf of St. Tropez passing the Iles d’Or and then westwards onto the calanques of Cassis and Marseille.
Pearl of the Iles d’Or known as the Golden Islands, Port Cros, a National Park that is unique for its maritime and undersea space, will overwhelm you with its spectacular creeks of crystal clear water and amazing fauna and flora.
Equipped with snorkelling gear you will live an unforgettable moment swimming in beautiful clear waters. Porquerolles, another natural reserve boasts plenty of protected anchorages along with eucalyptus forests, parasol pines, delightful traditional villages, and beautiful white-sandy beaches that can be found on the North coast.
The Golf of St. Tropez is not only a famous location and meeting point for the jet set. This small town continuously re-invents itself as it is discovered by each new generation of the world’s beautiful people. It is also rich in marvellous Provençal landscapes and extraordinarily long golden beaches. Further west the calanques around Cassis and Marseille boast old buildings dating back to the 16th century, exquisite beaches, and spectacular underwater seabeds.
Close to the base and only 30 minutes from the airport of Hyères /Toulon and a little over one hour from the airport of Marseille you will discover some of the finest restaurants and designer shops available on the Continent for your enjoyment.
