Since its first outing in 1991, the Blue Cup has grown from a modest weekend jaunt into a respected & much loved international event, where many nations meet annually in friendly rivalry to race yachts between islands in the Saronic Gulf of Greece.
With an average of 350 sailors in some 50 yachts each year, the Blue Cup attracts entrants from all over the world, many of whom are by now old friends racing and celebrating together.
Fun racing is mixed with cocktails, dancing and partying at every port of call, each of which has a special welcome for sailors with receptions, parties and prizes for each day's racing.
This is the most important regatta of the South Pacific islands, the Tahiti Pearl Regatta offers an ideal balance between a competitive sport event and a festive and fun meeting, within preserved and enchanting islands. For its 10th edition, the TPR will sail to Raiatea, Tahaa and Huahine, from 8 to 12 May 2013.
The Tahiti Pearl Regatta takes place in a friendly atmosphere with Polynesian percussions; in the middle of the south pacific ocean or in lagoons with bewitching colors.
Every year, participants race, between Raiatea, island Bora Bora the Pearl of the Pacific, Huahine and Taha’a.
